SPR 05: The Amend2 Special Purpose Rifle Series Goes LPVO
SPR 05 goes LPVO. This build starts with a Noveske rifle wearing the NSR-15 free-float handguard, runs a KX5 flash suppressor out front, and puts a C-More C3 1-6 low-power variable on a Reptilia AUS mount for everything from close work to reaching out. Eight parts, tripod to stock, all named below.
The Build
Noveske KX5 Flash Suppressor
The business end of the build. The KX5 is a slim flash suppressor designed to fit under a Noveske handguard, which keeps this free-float setup clean out to the muzzle. Heat-treated and nitrided, 3.25 inches long, 1.2 inches in diameter, and 4.5 ounces, threaded 1/2x28 for 5.56. Every unit is individually serial numbered.

Aziak Frontcountry Tripod
Same support system we have run under every SPR build so far: carbon-fiber legs that collapse to 22 inches and extend from 4 to 67 inches depending on which of two interchangeable center columns is mounted, rated to 35 lb on a 3/8-16 or 1/4-20 head. Three leg-angle settings and quarter-turn locks make it fast to set up and break down between positions.

Reptilia AUS Mount (30mm)
Sized for the 30mm tube on the C-More, this is the one-piece mount that keeps the optic locked to the rail and returns to zero. Machined from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum with a Picatinny interface and an anti-snag spring-loaded steel clamp. Made in the USA, lifetime warranty.

C-More C3 1-6x24
A 30mm, second-focal-plane low-power variable that runs true 1x up close and 6x when the target is farther out. The TJ1I reticle has an illuminated center dot with bullet drop subtensions and wind ticks out to 800 yards, with 11 illumination settings that are NVG compatible. Lockable, resettable turrets with an elevation zero stop. 22 ounces, waterproof, fogproof, and nitrogen filled, designed and assembled in Virginia.

Noveske NSR-15
The foundation of the build. NSR stands for Noveske Skinny Rail: a 15 inch free-float handguard in hard coat anodized aluminum with a continuous top rail and a steel barrel nut, kept deliberately light and slim so the rifle stays easy to carry and easy to run off a tripod.

Amend2 Straight 20rd 5.56/.300 BLK Magazine
Same reasoning as the rest of the series: the straight 20-rounder’s shorter profile keeps it from lifting your prone position off the deck or hanging up on a barricade edge the way a 30-round magazine can.
